Previously, I have baked loads of sweet pastries. Therefore, I decided to bake some bread for a change. The result is some home-baked and yummy Carrot Bread Buns. 🙂
Recipe (makes 15-20 bread buns)
50 g fresh yeast
- 5 dl lukewarm water
- 4 dl grated carrot
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 250 g cottage cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 dl wholemeal flour
- approx. 12-13 dl plain flour
Crumble the yeast into the bowl and add a bit of the lukewarm water and stir.
Then add the rest of the water and the rest of the ingredients.
Mix and kneed it all together until you get a smooth and firm dough. Save a bit of the plain flour.
Let the dough rest and rise under a tea towel for about one hour.
Put the rest of the flour on the surface of the table.
Kneed the dough for a bit and cut out 15-20 pieces of the dough (depending on the size you want to have).
Roll the pieces into balls and flatten them out a bit.
Place them on the parchment paper onto a baking sheet.
Bake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes on 200 degrees C.
Take them out from the oven and brush the buns with cold water.
Happy Carrot Bread Buns Baking Everyone! 😀
