Time to be a bit naughty and unhealthy when February is almost here and Christmas is definitely over. This week I have baked a Mars Chocolate Marshmallow Cake. Just the ingredients tell you how tasty it is. A rich and moist cake filled of many people’s favourite chocolate bar… Mars! 😀
Recipe (makes 12 slices)
- 50 gr unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 dl granulated sugar
- 3 dl plain flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 dl whole milk
- 174 gr chopped Mars chocolate
- 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
- 1½ dl mini marshmallows
Grease a loaf tin. Place a piece of baking sheet in the tin (it makes it easier to take the cake out from the tin).
Melt the butter and let it cool or let it rest at room temperature until it is soft.
Whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
Mix the flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar. Add it into the egg mixture. Pour the butter and milk into the mixture. Finally add the chopped chocolate pieces and mini marshmallows. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
Pour it into the loaf tin.
Bake it at the bottom of the oven at 175 degrees C for about 35-40 minutes.
Take the cake out from the oven and let it rest in the tin for a couple of minutes before you finally let it rest on a wire rack.
Optionally, You can put some icing on top of the cake!
Happy Mars Chocolate Marshmallow Cake! 😀
