Caramel Chocolate Cake

Today’s recipe is a moist and delicious Caramel Chocolate Cake which I baked a few days ago! The whole cake tastes more of caramel. On the bottom layer of the cake you feel the sweet and yummy chocolate flavour. Mmmm… 😀

Recipe (makes 12 slices)

  • 50 gr unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 dl granulated sugar
  • 3 dl plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 dl whole milk
  • 100 gr chopped milk chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 can (397 gr) Nestle Carnation Caramel

Grease a round cake tin. Place a piece of baking sheet in the tin (it makes it easier to take the cake out from the tin).

Melt the butter and let it cool or let it rest at room temperature until it is soft.

Whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy.

Mix the flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar. Add it into the egg mixture. Pour the butter and milk into the mixture. Finally add the chopped chocolate pieces and the Nestle Carnation Caramel. Stir until the mixture is smooth.

Pour it into the cake tin.

Bake it at the bottom of the oven at 175 degrees C for about 35-40 minutes.

Take the cake out from the oven and let it rest in the tin for a couple of minutes before you finally let it rest on a wire rack.

Optionally, you can serve the Caramel Chocolate Cake with whipped cream.

Happy Caramel Chocolate Cake Baking! 😀

      • It’s going very well for me! It’s very cold here right now so I can’t wait for Spring to get here! I checked out that link! I’ll have to look for it the next time I’m at the store but I don’t think we have it! I’ve only ever seen plain Carnation Sweetened condensed milk here! I also saw other Nestle products listed on there that we don’t have like Chocolate and Caramel Rice Pudding! I’ve been to different places in Europe before and I always loved going to the grocery stores and seeing all the different products that we don’t have here in the U.S.! I hope your workload slows down soon! Take Care!
