The Spanish Nursery Baby Apple Crumble Pies

I liked the Baby Currant Crumble Pies so much, and I especially LOVE Swedish Apple Crumble Pie, so I decided to bake The Spanish Nursery Baby Apple Crumble Pies… (yes!! a very long word, haha) 😀 Absolutely AMAZING, DELICIOUS & YUMMY!!!! Mmmm… 😀

The two bigger paper cases are the Nursery Teachers and the tiny, baby ones, are the kids at the Nursery. I named the Nursery Spanish due to the Spanish colours (yellow and red). Haha. 😀

Recipe (makes 20 Babies & 2 Teachers)

Dough

  • 2 dl plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
  • 80 gr butter

Filling

  • 4 Golden Delicious apples
  • ½ dl caster sugar
  • 3/4 tablespoon cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C.

Peel the apples and cut them into smaller pieces. Put the apple pieces, sugar and cinnamon into a bowl and mix it all together.

Place 20 small paper cases and two bigger ones on a baking sheet.

Put flour, vanilla sugar, caster sugar and butter into a bowl.

Work all together until you get a smooth and firm dough.

With help of a teaspoon, fill each paper case with four – five teaspoons of the apple mix.

Sprinkle the crumble dough over the apple mix.

Bake them in the middle of the oven, 20 minutes.

Let them cool a bit before being served.

Optional you can eat them with whipped cream or vanilla sauce.

Happy Nursery Apple Pie Baking! 😀
