Swedish Toffee Cookies…

I mentioned today…that I would share my lovely Auntie’s Toffee Cookie recipe. Here you go! 😀 I made hearts, stars and butterflies shaped ones instead of the oblong ones you normally get in Sweden…
I am not as good as my auntie to bake them, but at least I gave it a try. It was the first time I baked them… 😀

Hope you will like them as much as I do! 😀

Recipe (makes 82)

Dough

  • 200 gr butter, at room temperature
  • 2 dl sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 5 dl plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

To make the hearts, stars and butterflies

  • cookie cutters

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees C.

Stir butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add the rest of the ingredients, flour mixed with the baking powder, and work quickly until you get a smooth dough.

Take a bit of the dough, flatten it and use the cookie cutter to make the shape of the cookie.

Place the cookies on the parchment paper on a baking sheet.

Bake it in the middle of the oven, 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
